Don’t Worry About The Futures Open This Evening

Futures are going to open soon. You are going to heat a lot of people say “futures are down 200, I was right (if a bear) or “futures are up 100, See, “BTFD” (if a bull)

Both of these people are wrong, take futures with a huge grain of salt. Like enough salt to give you permanatly high blood pressure. Which is what you will have if you worry about futures too much. There is very little volume usually on Sunday afternoon, and I think there will be even less today will storms in the south and the entire North-east at a beach. With volume light, and big swing the norm, I don’t think you should be to worried (or counting your blessing, depending on your view) based on the futures trading tonight. They become more important at around 6-6:30 tomorrow morning.

We really need get money out of politics

Yes, we are a PAC. By definition PACs pump money into politics but some ( I’m pretty sure we are the only one, but I might be wrong) can and do support campaign finance reform and even think Citizens United was one of the worst decisions ever. But as much as Republicans would like to scream about Obama and the Keystone XL pipeline and about how Obama is just an environmentalist who hates American jobs and who wants OPEC to remain in power the reality is that he is not. He is simply someone who sees that money is being pumped in from both sides for this and my guess is that he will piss off the environmentalists either in February or in April. Republicans don’t hate…Bush did the same thing when he signed Medicare Part D. All this wasted time is just the price we pay for having a government that is run by money and we need to scale back the money in politics right now before it is to late.

Get to know your political views

I think that, especially in the last few years, American politics has gotten so compressed on the political spectrum that people are now associating themselves with a party or ideology that really doesn’t fit what they personally believe. That is why I urge you to take this test. The website is The Political Compass and the test is rather long but it will provide you with some very interesting and perhaps sup rising information.

American Citizens Need to Hire a Lobbyist

From Atlas Shrugged:

If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater the effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders — what would you tell him to do? I don’t know. What could he do? What would you tell him? To shrug.

Whether you agree with Occupy Wall Street or not former Senator Fritz Hollings makes a good point here. He says that Occupy needs to hire a lobbyist as our government no longer responds to the people as they responded to the protest over civil rights. He says that what Occupy Wall Street needs is a lobbyist as our government now only responds to money. Here is an idea to get the governments attention. I believe every single American should refuse to pay taxes for 1 year. The IRS is powerful but I would like to see how they handle roughly 280 million people delinquent  on their taxes. Americans should take that that money and hire a lobbyist for their family. Like minded families could join together for an even louder voice. The lobbyist would work for the family and if the politician who represented the family voted for something that went contrary to what the majority of the people in his district wanted their would simply be no more money for him. America is no longer a representative democracy as the only things politicians represent is money. So why don’t we put the ball in their court and force them to be truly accountable for their decisions. Politicians have proven they listen to money not people so why don’t we make it just that.
