American Citizens Need to Hire a Lobbyist

From Atlas Shrugged:

If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater the effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders — what would you tell him to do? I don’t know. What could he do? What would you tell him? To shrug.

Whether you agree with Occupy Wall Street or not former Senator Fritz Hollings makes a good point here. He says that Occupy needs to hire a lobbyist as our government no longer responds to the people as they responded to the protest over civil rights. He says that what Occupy Wall Street needs is a lobbyist as our government now only responds to money. Here is an idea to get the governments attention. I believe every single American should refuse to pay taxes for 1 year. The IRS is powerful but I would like to see how they handle roughly 280 million people delinquent  on their taxes. Americans should take that that money and hire a lobbyist for their family. Like minded families could join together for an even louder voice. The lobbyist would work for the family and if the politician who represented the family voted for something that went contrary to what the majority of the people in his district wanted their would simply be no more money for him. America is no longer a representative democracy as the only things politicians represent is money. So why don’t we put the ball in their court and force them to be truly accountable for their decisions. Politicians have proven they listen to money not people so why don’t we make it just that.
